Polishing & Blasting

We offer polishing and blasting services.

Polishing: We offer centerless polishing as well as polishing lathe services with the following finishes:

  • Mirror
  • Satin
  • Matt/Satelitte

Shot Blasting: Shot blasting with chilled iron grit can be undertaken in our hand cabinet (3' x 4' x 2' ). Chilled iron grit is ideal for mild steel components and offers rapid cleaning. Blasting with chilled iron grit is ideal for etching steel prior to plating.

Bead Blasting: Bead blasting with glass bead can be undertaken in our hand cabinet (3' x 4' x 2' ). Glass bead blasting is ideal for stainless steel and aluminium components. Glass bead is made from soda-lime, does not effect the base metal and is completely inert.

Other Abrasive Media: Other abrasive media can be used with notice, to customer specification. Available abrasives include:

  • Aluminium Oxide
  • Copper Slag
  • Stainless Steel Grit
  • Olivine
  • Steel Grit
  • Steel Shot
  • Plastic Media
